Job Description
Revenue Management Analyst has responsibility for pricing and revenue management activities involving one or more lines of business at World Fuel Services. The role will have responsibility for managing pricing strategy, designing pricing processes, analyzing margins and recommending business process changes to optimize margins. In this position, the individual will monitor market conditions in the energy markets, customer demand, supply contracts and competitive pricing to set optimal prices to spot and commercial accounts. The role would provide pricing guidance and rates to sales and customers as well as execute pricing changes associated with changes in WFS costs. The ideal candidate will have prior fuel distribution experience, ability to manage pricing within a dynamic market environment, solid analytical skills, desire to optimize the business and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Key responsibilities will include:
Define, document and manage pricing and quoting activities for assigned line-of-sight (LOS)
Maintain process documentation and roles/responsibilities understanding between key stakeholders
Provide guidance on tools and technology required to enhance the business line and customer experience
Increase line-of-sight profitability, process efficiency and business value aligned to the business strategy
Conduct adhoc analysis on margins and financial returns and present results to management
Train and education business partners on processes and tools used to manage rates and to onboard new customers
Required Skills:
BA/BS Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
Extreme ownership of a pricing process
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Comfort in managing large amounts of data
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Preferred:
Knowledge of transportation fuel distribution business model (gasoline, diesel)
Pricing experience (contracts, spot, CPQ)
Ability to understand SQL |
