Through building and running cash flow models that leverage sophisticated statistical techniques, you will help our organization understand the risk-reward for some of the most complex deals in energy. You will partner with our Originators and Traders to drive new value generating business. We empower our colleagues to use their creativity and collaborate to carry our business forward through the Energy Transition.
What’s the role?
As a Senior Deal Structurer, you will:
Partner with Gas and Power Originators and Traders to drive new business
Perform economic and risk analysis for complex deal types including Heat Rate Call Options, Power Purchase Agreements, Tolling Agreements, and Asset Management Agreements
Perform research in new energy areas including batteries and renewable energy
Design, develop, and deploy elegant valuation software solutions
Drive continual personal and organizational learning
Mentor junior team members
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 plus years’ experience in a quantitative role.
Strong interpersonal skills and a “team first” mentality
Passion for financial modelling, software development, and mathematics
Proficiency with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, or C#)
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to learn quickly and deliver results with minimal guidance
Knowledge of Gas and Power markets preferred
