Job Opening for Specialist, Accounts Payable in Novartis (Chicago, IL)

Purpose:
Novartis Gene Therapies, part of Novartis is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist.
This position is responsible for reviewing, processing, auditing and reconciling a variety of accounts payable items (invoices, vendor statements, concur expense reports).

Major Accountabilities
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.Review and respond to internal and external vendor inquiries.Process and match invoices and credits in Easy Access.Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Minimum requirements
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
Experience:
Accounts Payable Experience preferredStrong written & oral communication skills
