Job Description : | Overview: The Senior Credit Risk Analyst’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business solutions for the support of Conn’s Credit division. This position will assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of Conn’s credit policy through modeling of internal and external data. As a key player in the Credit Analytics team, the Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the performance of credit methodologies, while providing new and innovative ways towards increasing customer acquisition and lowering delinquency and charge-off rates. Key Duties & Responsibilities: The Senior Credit Analyst’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work with both internal and external data sources to create and reconcile data files Help improve credit acquisition and yield opportunities by providing analytical and decision support within Credit Risk Create and maintain customer segmentation reports, dashboards, and financial results Work with internal clients to insure accurate and actionable tracking mechanisms are in place for tracking and testing efforts Continually develop, measure, and help optimize credit portfolio offerings within various segments Other duties as assigned. Required Experience Qualified individuals will possess a Degree in a relevant field, including Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Applied Mathematics. Experienced in SAS programming Knowing R or Python is a plus Knowledge of relational database, knowledge using SQL Server or SAS SQL procedure to extract, clean, manipulate, transfer data, create variables and explore patterns and relationships Knowledge/experience in statistics, data mining and predictive modeling Proficiency in Excel Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and independently Preferred Experience Five or more years of analytical modeling in a credit granting environment Skills & Abilities: Organized and detail-oriented Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly The ability to communicate effectively at all levels Professional in appearance and manner #LI-SD1 Conn’s History Conn’s established in 1890 is a specialty retailer with approximately 4,500 employees and currently operating 130 retail locations in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
