A Sr. Project Controls Specialist job is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department’s Capital Delivery Division to perform scheduling and other project controls activities working closely with project managers and project support staff. This position will coordinate with other project control specialists in the City and report to the Sr. Capital Projects Officer on the TPW Capital delivery Team. The Sr. Project Controls Specialist job responsibilities include: Supervise Project Controls Specialist staff, including prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring and termination, and disciplinary decisions or recommendations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as planning, engineering, business administration, finance or public administration and Preferred Qualifications: Five years of Administrative and Supervisory Experience Conditions of Employment Candidates who do not meet the Education requirement, may be considered if they have more relevant work experience than the position requires. Those selected for employment will be required to pass Pre-Employment checks depending on the position requirements. Those could include, but are not limited to: criminal background check, drug screen, education verification, etc. Criminal convictions will be considered on a case by case basis.
