|Job Description :||Job InformationOpen to the general public and any current Municipal employee.This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.DEPARTMENT: Human ResourcesHOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.LOCATION: City Hall 632 W 6th AvenueExample of DutiesUnder general supervision of the Central Payroll Manager this position will be responsible for receiving and reviewing schedule changes, auditing leave and attendance records within the automatic timekeeping system in accordance with current Collective Bargaining Agreements, Municipal Personnel Rules and Policies and Procedures. Research variances in the timekeeping application, reviews and corrects time and leave errors as needed. Process leave adjustments, donations, and cash-in for Municipal Employees. Assist with the weekly on-boarding of new municipal staff, presenting general timekeeping functions to ensure employees understand how to record accurate time records. Support all Municipal employees and department about recording time. Assist in the development and training materials for Municipal Employees as new processes are being implemented. Assist all areas of payroll as needed and assigned.Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / PreferencesHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in human resources or payroll, administration support or similar administrative responsibilities.ORAssociate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar discipline and three (3) years of experience in human resources or payroll, administration support or similar administrative responsibilities.ORBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar discipline and one (1) year of experience in human resources or payroll, administration support or similar administrative responsibilities.Preferences: Experience with ERP Human Resources and Finance applicationsAdditional Important InformationThe Municipality of Anchorage participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-verify Program.
