CalPERS is situated near the Napa Valley, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and other desirable destinations, and we offer competitive benefit packages, compensation, and opportunities for advancement.Our Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division (FRAS) is currently seeking an Investment Officer II in our Treasury Analysis and Reporting Unit.Under the general direction of the Assistant Division Chief, the incumbent analyzes various cash related reconciliations and processes throughout the division to prepare accurate annual cash forecasts for all Trusts. Reviews and analyzes Master Custodian Bank (MCB) initiated transactions to develop internal review processes and verification procedures. Performs extensive review of MCB records, control agency records, and general ledger activity reports to develop cash forecasts as needed and to reduce the risk of material misstatements in financial reports. Prepares and provides statistical and financial reports on investment cash forecasting. Creates key performance indicators using operational and investment forecasting tools including private equity pacing models to track liquidity risk. Gather information on current and potential investments that may impact liquidity or increase leverage of the Trusts. Performs a full range of technical and complex analysis providing a high level of investment accounting expertise.This position has been designated as eligible for telework in an office-centered capacity.
