| Job Description : | Our client has an immediate need for an Underwriting Assistant to join their growing team. The Underwriting Assistant will support several Account Managers with the organization of account pipeline by performing document review and verifications to confirm the accuracy and validity of critical information. This person needs to be team-oriented with a go-getter mentality who works well in a fast-paced environment. All applicants MUST be able to simultaneously balance customer service and risk management. This is a newly created role and our client is in search of someone who can help define it as well as grow within the company. The incumbent must have an impeccable attention to detail and an exceptional level of organization. Responsibilities: Assist with account qualification, research and review. Interact with the service and brokerage teams in policy correspondence. Answer questions concerning a policy status or billing error on behalf of Underwriters. Under the guidance of Underwriters, analyze applications and screen applicants. Ensure that policy transactions such as renewals or quotes are issued and changes are recorded correctly. Manage relationships with agents and follow up on any outstanding information needed to complete the underwriting file. Requirements: Must have experience in the Insurance industry, strong internships will be considered. Competitive base compensation based on experience.
