As a member of our team, you can take special pride in knowing that while you’re building a successful career, you’re also serving this dedicated group of people.As an Underwriting Service Representative, you will prepare, review and enter automobile, property and boat new accounts and renewals as well as more complex endorsements. We will rely on you to evaluate existing and prospective customer policies by interpreting underwriting guidelines for the purpose of determining overall policy acceptability as well as appropriate premiums. In addition, work must be performed efficiently and in compliance with statutory, regulatory, judicial and California Casualty’s standards. Use your people skills and business smarts to work in conjunction with Claims, Finance, Customer Service and Sales to ensure accurate and timely policy processing in order to assure a profitable book of business. We will also depend on you to provide extraordinary customer service by responding to internal and external customer requests within designated timeframes.The candidate we seek will have:Knowledge of automobile, property, boat and assigned risk rules for multiple states preferred, but not requiredThe ability to accurately type 40 wpm and competently use Windows-based PCs and MS Excel and WordThe capacity to work independentlyExceptional attention to detail and analytical skillsGood oral and written communication skillsThe pay range for this position in Colorado is $20.22 – $24.48 per hour however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
