| Job Description : | What’s in it for you: IHS Markit’s Entity Management team oversees the investigation of newly established firms and mergers/acquisitions of existing firms in the asset management industry, is responsible for answering client data inquiries, and works on other high value analytical client projects. A senior analyst should be detail oriented and have an analytical problem-solving skillset. In this role, you will work closely with members of our global teams, adding value to our content, as you help oversee offshore teams to ensure the highest possible levels of data quality, timeliness and completeness. You’ll be responsible for helping to drive production, as well as process and content improvements across the group. You’ll be given the support and direction you’ll need to help you succeed, while working as part of a diverse and experienced, passionate team. As a senior analyst, you will help refine and develop new strategies of data collection, data analysis and investigative research of the capital markets. You’ll work directly with developers and other internal stakeholders to refine and improve the Entity Management team’s data collection processes. What you’ll work on: Actively investigating asset management firms not currently included in IHS Markit’s, buy-side database Communicating directly with investment professionals to obtain details on their investment process Identifying sources and creating processes for collecting and tracking new information as needed Analyzing regulatory filings, prospectuses, industry publications and other sources for information pertaining to asset management firm holdings and investment information Assist in managing projects in an easy to interpret manner. Communicating regularly with team leader/management/team members regarding status of projects and workload Overseeing the offshore teams on daily work, providing assistance and training on daily work that require offshore support Participating in creation/maintenance of research manuals and enhancements to the databases and research methodology Overseeing the process of triaging all client requests to the appropriate content group and ensuring that the client turnaround time is met Using Agile philosophies and a Kanban methodology to incrementally improve processes and team workflow Assisting team leaders in developing standards, benchmarks, specifications and training What we look for: Excellent communication and persuasion skills Strong writing skills Bachelor’s degree 2+ years of relevant work experience Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Interest in financial research and internet research Enjoys and is capable of handling a fast-paced work environment Ability to work in both a team and individual environments Strong attention to detail Basic understanding of Agile/Kanban/Project Management Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills Assume accountability for individual projects and team’s overall success Focuses on process improvements and has helped to innovate and develop new workflow methodologies Has strong relationship building and consultation skills, and be able to establish positive work relationships with key stakeholders – Inclusion and diversity are critical to the success of IHS Markit, and we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
