RiskLens is looking for a Assistant Controller to become a vital member of the Financial and Operations team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for all accounting, reporting and compliance, and supporting financial planning and analysis to ensure our success during our breakout year.

Within 30 daysLearn & lead month-end close processResponsible for preparing and analyzing month-end financial reports to ensure accuracy of information for the Board of DirectorsPrepare weekly reports for CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and other members of managementUpdate monthly forecastPrepare monthly bank reporting package
Within 60 daysPrepare revenue analysis for new and renewal contracts according to ASC 606Prepare sales quotes for CFO approvalPrepare appropriate tax filings (Federal, State, Local)Prepare KPI (key performance indicators) slides for monthly Board meetingsPrepare commission statements and quarterly bonus calculations

What will you do? (Role and deliverables)
Be a world class business partner helping to define how RiskLens creates and protects value for our stakeholders and provide the resources and environment required to accomplish its goals. You will be a part of the Finance & Operations Leadership team that is helping support our business in our breakout year. You will manage the financial policies, systems, and procedures of the company to ensure accuracy of information. Prepare the financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). As well as analyze and strategize with the CFO to deliver the information needed to continue to grow the organization. You will be a part of a team that cross functionally collaborates to make smart decisions on deals coming into the company. Lead the annual budgeting process.

Requirements (Qualifications)5-8 years progressive accounting and financial analysis experienceCPA and previous experience working in public account firms requiredProven experience with managing the month-end closing process, preparing consolidated financial statements, and building forecastsKnowledge of different federal, state & local tax lawsExperience liaising with auditors and tax accountantsEffective communication and influencing skills with all levels of employees, especially executivesStrong critical thinking, a drive to learn, great collaboration skills and ability to coach othersExpert excel skills and attention to detailSubscription / SaaS (Software as A Service) based knowledge is preferredQuickBooks experience preferredCRM (Customer Relationship Management) and revenue management platform (e.g., SaaS Optics) experience is preferred
