Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing the departmental procurement, property accounting, warehouse, and accounts payable functional areas of
the University Business Administrators (UBA) site at Facilities.
Oversees the procurement, property compliance, accounts payable and warehouse transactional functions for Facilities. Manages and supervises Facilities staff
handling procurement functions, accounts payable, warehouse and property management. Provides leadership & direction of business processes and reporting
by reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, developing, and implementing policies and procedures essential for the sound & effective management of these areas.
Serves as liaison between Facilities and other related university functional areas, purchasing, property, accounts payable inventory and warehousing. Interprets and provides advice and counsel to the Associate Director & Facilities executive team concerning business and administrative policies of the university relevant to purchasing and property accounting functions.
Serves as a member of the UBA/Facilities Finance senior management team. Responsible for providing guidance to the UBA Associate Director and assisting the Facilities Directors/Associate VP on the interpretation and implementation of university policies and procedures. Recommends policies and procedures to the Facilities management team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations. Interprets and communicates these policies to the Facilities organization.
Conducts research as appropriate for projects or initiatives within the Facilities organization. Provides detailed assessment reports and recommendations in order to support the mission of Facilities.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight year of experience.
(Note: or a post high school education and work experience equal to eight years.)
Demonstrated strong ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Experience supervising and training employees.
Strong knowledge of purchasing, procurement, budgeting, and administrative management.
Advanced knowledge of electronic data processing as it applies to purchasing activities.
Superior customer service skills.
Ability to develop and implement policies procedures, goals, and objectives.
Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives.
