This position is best suited for candidates who possess a “can-do-will do” attitude and enjoys working as a member of a team. Qualified candidates to have excellent multi-tasking skills, superior organizational and time management skills, ability to pay close attention to detail while working on multiple projects with varying deadlines. Polished verbal and written communication skills are a must. Candidates must be willing to assist accounting team in many aspects of accounting.Salary: Based on experienceEmployment Type: Salaried Full TimeBenefits Offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life, Disability, Paid Holidays, Paid Time OffEmployment Requirements: Clean driving record and background checkWork Remotely: NoOffice Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am – 5:00pm.POSITION SUMMARY: The Controller is responsible for accounting and finance functions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Lead and support the accounting team· Prepare and execute journal entries, month-end close processes and general ledger account reconciliations, review monthly WIP and variance reports and make adjusting entries· Prepare detail information and support for quarterly and annual tax filings· Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for multiple states· Business insurance administration: attend renewal meetings, track payments and invoicing· Manage IT activity and outside vendor support· Maintain all cost accounting and inventory activity· Provide analysis reporting and key performance indicators· Establish customer credit limits and work on outstanding receivables along with credit card transactions· Manage EDI process flow of inbound and outbound transactions· Establish, document and update accounting policies and procedures· Note: duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any timeJOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent preferred3-5+ years of professional work experience in an Accounting Management roleProfessional work experience must also include:Financial statement preparationCredit and collectionsIT administrationSales and Use taxAudit preparationKnowledge of various ERP systemsStrong working knowledge of ExcelCORE STRENGTHS / SOFT SKILLS needed to succeed in this position: · Teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills – ability to effectively communicate, mentor and collaborate with your team will be the number one factor for success· Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation · Adaptability and Patience: Be adaptable, flexible and patient in all situations· Time Management: Prioritization and attention to deadlines, ability to prioritize tasks to get the job done in a timely manner will be essential.· Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail · Organization and multi-tasking skills: Possess ability and willingness to handle several projects simultaneously· Work ethic: Demonstrate dependability, responsibility, and commitment to your team· Courteousness and Respect: Work in a cooperative, congenial manner to foster a cohesive work atmosphere.
