Position Overview
Hexion’s Early Career Development Program is an opportunity for recent graduates to apply their limitless imagination and drive to build innovative solutions into a comprehensive 2-year rotational program. The program will introduce you to the diverse financial functions of a dynamic chemical manufacturing business through the completion of 3, 8-month projects in a number of functional areas. This opportunity offers a diverse working knowledge of Hexion’s Finance organization while exploring potential future career paths. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are placed in a role that best matches their interests and supports the needs of the business.
Assignments can be in the following areas:
Commercial Finance
Operations/Plant Finance
Treasury
Internal Audit
External Reporting
Tax

Job Responsibilities
You will handle projects under the guidance of a Mentor assigned to your designated area of focus. The project assignments are designed to empower you to challenge convention by finding a creative solution to some of the most difficult programs we face in our business. Each assignment will help you gain insight into global business processes, while being immersed in day to day activity, further developing you as an individual and essential member of Hexion’s tomorrow.
Delivering breakthrough solutions
Monitoring and developing improvements to current processes in each department you work in
Continuously strive for highest level of performance
Doing everything with your personal safety mindset at the forefront of your work
Support key tasks and projects within each Finance department you are assigned to, including financial analysis, accounting, and financial reporting
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Must be in good academic standing
Ability to adapt quickly to change
Ability to take initiative and independently drive projects to completion
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work against deadlines in a dynamic work environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
