Managing the capital expenditure budget for fleet ADA remediation and other special projects through development of capital estimates, review of capital request submissions, analysis of spend vs. budget, and compilation of monthly placed in-service accrual entry support. Will provide direct support of the project management team, and monthly reporting to Sr. Leadership in addition to managing the development of the capital forecast / capital plan submissions. Responsibilities: Manage the capital appropriation plan for ADA remediation and other special projects. Track and forecast expenditures, support project managers and provide regular updates to senior leadership. Review capital request submissions for completeness, and to ensure the costs included meet the fixed asset policy. Follow up with project managers to resolve any issues. Maintain and update monthly tracking for capital projects and update actuals, commitments and changes to completion dates based on input from operations. Provide updates to project managers and senior leadership as part of monthly fleet capital review process. Analyze capital project spend vs. budget on a monthly basis and identify offsets for capital project overruns. Upon project completion, will be responsible for compiling the final project cost estimate and outstanding invoices for accrual which are submitted monthly to the accounting team. Review and work with operations to submit amended capital project requests for projects with cost overruns in accordance with policy as needed; Track and report on sourcing savings and ensure they are integrated into the capital forecasts/plans. Lead the annual capital appropriation plan process for ADA remediation Compile submissions, create presentations; provide related deliverables for Sr. Leadership Work with Fixed Assets dept. and ensure accounting/planning/forecasting are supported Work closely with other Finance Managers to foster a collaborative and supportive environment and assist with other areas of capital as needed |
