The University recognized the School of Pharmacy as the highest-ranking academic unit for Inclusive Excellence. The School of Pharmacy invites you to apply to our Fiscal Administrator position. The Fiscal Administrator will provide professional-level finance management in support of business operations for assigned departments within the School of Pharmacy. The Fiscal Administrator will perform work of varied and considerable difficulty requiring advanced data management, collection, and manipulation; evaluation; analysis; forecasting; modeling; and reporting. Duties and Responsibilities Provides day-to-day financial oversight and approved functions for assigned departments within the School of Pharmacy. Reviews/Prepares personnel and financial paperwork Conducts independent complex financial analysis Produces routine financial reports based on analysis of data in Banner Finance and the Schools’s finance system Manages post award grant funds for assigned departments in accordance with federal and industry uniform guidelines and University policy and procedures, as well as sponsor requirements. Ensures university and sponsor compliance with regard to assigned department financial transactions and recordkeeping; and making decisions on appropriate corrective actions, changes in process, and internal policies. Education and Minimum Hiring Standards Experience working and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU Excellent accounting, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills Proficient with databases and spreadsheets (Excel and Google sheets) Excellent oral and written communication skills in daily interactions Outstanding customer service skills and a high degree of professionalism Ability to exercise strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Ability to meet deadlines, organize workload and juggle changing priorities Ability to independently solve problems and use available resources Ability to independently research topics Strong team mentality while being able to work independently as needed Preferred Hiring Standards Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent combination of education with 3-5 years fiscal administration experience/training Working knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia (state) and University financial policies and procedures Working experience with Banner Finance, RealSource, Rams-Spot Working experience with post award grant management Salary Range: $55,000-$68,000 Position Details: Department: Employment Type: UF – University Employee FT Restricted Status: No FTE: 100 Exemption Status: Exempt Contact Information: Contact Name: Karen Bartee-Paige Contact Email: ksbartee@vcu.edu Contact Phone: |
