SCOPE OF ROLE
This role is suited for a detailed oriented individual with a do it yourself attitude and a desire for innovation. This individual will be responsible for various financial reports that are presented to different levels within the organization.

This position plays a key role in the financial planning and analysis processes, including the preparation of the budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans, as well as the preparation of management reporting and other ad hoc analysis to support business decision making. The Lead Financial Analyst is responsible for working cross-functionally to facilitate internal planning and reporting processes and provide guidance and analysis on business results.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the budget and financial forecast processes for the Corporate Services functions of Bright Health engaging with senior leaders as a financial business partner
Implement operating expense management controls which includes departmental actual-to- budget variance process
Lead the operating unit allocation forecasting process, including communication and coordination with segment finance leaders
Communicate monthly financial performance to senior leadership across the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
Support month-end accounting close process as needed, specifically supporting accounting on the Corporate Services functions
Lead the operating unit monthly expense allocation process to Bright Health’s business segments
Finance Lead for the Oracle Governance Committee
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Identify and implement financial process improvements and efficiencies
Construct ad hoc financial analysis for business problems as needed with a solution-oriented mindset
Create financial processes that are adaptable, consistent, repeatable, and scalable
Preparation of financial decks and presentations
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
Eight or more years of financial analysis or accounting experience (Required)
Two or more years public accounting experience (Preferred)
MBA or CPA (Preferred)
Oracle experience (Preferred)
Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications; Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Required)
