| Job Description : | What is the opportunity? The Mutual Fund product team serves as a primary source of product support for US registered and offshore mutual funds across RBC Wealth Management distribution channels. The Product Analyst assists in the development, support, and growth of RBC Wealth Management’s mutual fund platform(s). The Product Analyst assists in the management of key strategic initiatives and vendor relationships designed to support and promote the adoption of mutual fund investments in client portfolios. This role is directly aligned to functional and organizational responsibilities around client service and operational risk management. What will you do? Support the management of product platform(s) to ensure high competitiveness and advisor satisfaction. Identify appropriate solutions to product and business challenges, and manage the implementation of enhancements to existing programs. Assist in development and execution of appropriate policies and procedures for the platform. Monitor the regulatory environment to determine business risks and impact, and help implement changes to policy and procedures. Negotiate and execute the terms of vendor contracts, including platform reimbursements and additional compensation payments. Assist in identifying partner / vendor value added programs that can be integrated into firm initiatives / conferences / events. Coordinate educational campaigns / seminars / meetings as required. Assist in the planning, tracking, and execution of various projects. What do you need to succeed? Must Have 3+ years securities or financial markets experience with specific knowledge of mutual funds Undergraduate degree (BA / BS) with preferred concentration in business, economics, finance, or marketing Advanced computer skills and proficiency in use of MSOffice products (especially Excel) Series 7, Series 63 or 65/66 licensed or ability to obtain Solid understanding of key investment products and concepts including mutual fund strategies and related advisory programs Nice to Have Organizational awareness across multiple distribution channels. Understanding of the sales process across multiple distribution channels as it relates mutual funds. Strong analytical / problem solving / organizational skills.
