Description: The AMAD team is responsible for supporting the business areas enterprise wide with their Asset-Liability Modeling (ALM) and other forecasting modeling needs. AMAD develops and maintains Prophet models, liability data, and preparation for Production covering Cash Flow Testing, Embedded Value, Stress Testing, RBC, Duration analysis, Economic Capital, Stress Testing, Investment Risk Budget and Valuation. In addition to supporting the Prophet models, the team engages heavily in with the business units to understand prospective needs and advise on modeling approaches. This role offers interested candidates the opportunity to learn products and methods across every business within New York Life. Responsibilities: Responsibilities for this position place focus on the drive for continuous improvement from an operational perspective. The candidate will be responsible for providing supporting model data and process improvements. Data will be utilized by all Prophet models. Opportunities within the role include the following: Support of monthly development cycles Improvement of production data process Creatively automating manual data processes Working with all areas of the company to align and prioritize requests Qualifications: The AMAD team wrestles with, tests and implements many leading-edge techniques. We are looking for someone with the following skill-set: Bachelor’s degree specializing in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent work experience required. Experience with Prophet, DCS, Excel, VBA, Databases, Python desired Skilled in processing large amounts of data and development of efficient, complex work processes using advanced technology. Strong execution and time management skills – ability to move multiple projects along under tight deadlines. Knowledge of actuarial software and work-flow a plus. Experience working within an actuarial enterprise technology environment a plus. Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills. A self-starter with strong communication skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audience. An energetic team player.
