Bank of America Business Capital (BABC) is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer (BDO) in Seattle, Portland or Vancouver. BABC is a market leading asset based lending group and is a unit of Enterprise Credit. BABC provides secured lending solutions for re-capitalization, growth situations, mergers and acquisitions, turn-around situations, DIPs, etc. for middle market and large corporate clients.
Responsible for generating a meaningful volume of new commercial finance clients. Develops referral sources within region; analyzes prospective clients and ascertains the extent of the servicing packages required. Associates are capable of handling the most complex types of commercial finance transactions. Ability to originate and execute large and core middle market transactions is a plus.
This position will be filled as a Senior Business Development Officer commensurate with experience, skill set and referral network. The role of the BDO is to identify, develop and close new business opportunities. In addition to direct calling on companies, the BDO will develop external sources to ensure complete coverage of their assigned market area, including investment bankers, consultants, accounting firms and private equity groups. The role also leverages the Bank of America franchise by developing internal referral sources within the Regional, Corporate and Investment Banking channels and other bank product areas.
Required Skills:
10 to 15 years of experience in ABL Lending (preferable), Commercial Banking, Private Debt Lending, or Investment Banking
For experienced candidates, direct calling experience at the CEO, CFO and Managing Director level
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business or related area; MBA is desirable.
Must possess a combination of general banking knowledge, leadership skills, critical thinking, and the ability to connect analytical work to the client needs and strategic objectives
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus
Strong client relationships, marketing and presentation skills are essential
Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
Ability to travel to visit prospects and referral sources required (20% or less)
Series 7, 63 (If not currently licensed then licensing is required within 180 days)

Desired:
Current or previous ABL business development experience in Illinois.
Completion of a bank credit training program.
