Job Description : Local insurance company, in the Downtown Honolulu area, seeking an Underwriter Associate to support in the Underwriting Department.

Job Duties:

Review applications, endorsements, and general documents in a timely manner
Analyzes negative trends and develops action plans
Ensure that the appropriate documentation is generated for the retention of accounts
Verify accurate data entry into the system
Other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred – credit in accounting, business, finance or insurance related subjects preferred
2+ years of commercial lines property and casualty or related experience using commercial lines
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be comfortable meeting strict deadlines
Must have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

Pay: $16 per hour
