| Job Description : | * Mortgage industry experience requiredConexus is working with a Mortgage company seeking a VP of Finance. This role will report directly to the CFO, will lead the Finance team and will be responsible for financial reporting, forecasting and planning, branch reporting and analysis, regulatory reporting support and other projects, as required.Responsibilities: Work directly with the CFO to develop budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling tools.Assists in the development and calculation of incentive compensation programs.Responsible for Retail and Wholesale commission processing and the implementation of the incentive compensation system.Manages special projects, reporting or analysis as required by the CFO and/or senior management.Provides recommendations for cost savings and operational improvement.Ensure an effective and robust financial reporting and analysis infrastructure is in place.Analyze profitability and partner with Executive team to develop recommendations.Develop and monitor operational and financial KPI’s – highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.Analyze the company’s financial results – profits, trends, and costs. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.Ability to nurture cross-functional collaboration with other business units and functions.Competencies: Bachelor’s degree – accounting, finance, or other business degree required. Advanced degree in business with equivalent experience preferred.Demonstrated experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis with 10+ years previous experience, with at least 5 years in the Mortgage Banking sectorStrong financial modeling skills including the thorough understanding of, and ability to, model income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement in a cohesive operating modelSkilled in budgeting and forecasting.Demonstrated team player.Superior management and communication skills with focused ability to influence and engage peers.Excellent leadership and managerial skills, including leading change.Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with the executive leadership team.Job Type: Full-timePay: Up to $200,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Accounting: 7 years (Required)technical accounting: 1 year (Preferred)consolidations: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:CPA (Preferred)Work Location: Remote |
