| Job Description : | Description The Associate Portfolio Manager (PM) works with a specified group of Portfolio Managers by preparing analysis of commercial borrowers, including spreading financial statements and is able to do so for both straightforward and moderately complex credits. They complete written summaries of industry issues, industry research and write-ups, and will prepare relationship data for existing commercial customers or prospects. They are responsible for activities associated with credit file maintenance, compliance, and annual review activities for a variety of credits contained in one or more portfolios. The Associate Portfolio Manager can independently perform analysis and modeling functions and can prepare the CPS from beginning to end for straightforward loans (generally a type of credit which does not issue public financials, is not highly levered, does not include an asset securitization, nor rely on Enterprise Value). The Associate PM would also be expected to work independently to complete whole Underwriting and Annual Reviews as well as manage multiple accounts on he/her own. Qualifications Completion of formal credit training program and up to 3 years of applied financial analysis working with straight forward to moderately complex credits in a commercial banking environment may be considered as alternative to formal degree program completion. Experience in oil/gas industry preferred with specific experience in Reserved Based Lending and Midstream. Exhibits a developed level of knowledge associated with financial analysis and modeling. Bachelor’s degree is required. Exhibits the ability to conduct customer/prospect analysis to include a thorough analysis of the client’s operating performance/financial condition, repayment capacity, and other critical factors related to the industry and financial trends which will be considered as part of credit decisioning. Understands and applies credit policy and can identify situations that may require policy exceptions and can make recommendations that mitigate credit risks or remedy possible exceptions. Displays effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with customers directly on financial analysis or account management issues. Interacts directly with PMs and RMs and is able to field and answer questions related to financial analysis and interpreting financial statements from other credit analysts. In addition to using various word processing programs, also exhibits ability to conduct internet search and industry information gathering related to borrower.
