There will be a strong focus on financing strategies and high attention to risk and compliance. They need to able to drive financial decisions based on monitoring the performance of other departments and establishing strong internal controls, limiting risk, and continuously obtaining an unqualified opinion by external auditors. The Controller needs to be generally proactive, reactive when necessary, and requires initiation, teamwork, excellent communication and reporting skills. They need to motivate, coach, and inspire the accounting team while driving to meet or exceed deadlines and achieve results.Job Duties: · Organize and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking functions, and payroll· Ensure timely payment of purchase invoices, and timely distribution of sales invoices· Responsible for managing customer credit, terms, and collections· Complete month-end and year-end financials accurately and on time· Optimize and maintain budgets and forecasting as well as report any variances· Manage and increase level of inventory control· Create and guide department managers on procedures, controls, efficiency, and KPI measurements· Advise management level members on key areas for improvements or optimization· Guards assets, manage company investments and control costs and procurements· Assist accounting firm in timely tax payments and proper tax filings· Create and optimize financing strategies· Review and address all risk and compliance subjects· Provide support for external auditors resulting in an unqualified opinion· Regular contact with the CFO in the NL regarding reports, figures, compliance, audits, pertinent information for management, board, and appropriate departments· Coach, motivate, and inspire team to be independent and achieve overall results of department and companyQualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or higher· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller, International experience a plus· Experience in a (small) manufacturing environment preferred; assembly of multi component equipment· Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)· Proficiency in an ERP and Inventory Management System and Financial SoftwareJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location |
