Job Description : If you’re looking for Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk work, we have a job opening for a self-starting and detail-oriented candidate! This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Rome, Georgia area. On an average day, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will perform tasks like entering, posting, and reconciling batches, as well as researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. Your responsibilities

Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers
Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Confirm documents and codes
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Provisioning
Commercial credit experience desired
Experience with commercial credit
Strong familiarity with Corporate Credit
Earlier work involving Excel Formulas
Credit collections experience
Microsoft Excel experience highly preferred
Knowledge of Consumer Credit
General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Practical knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Good understanding of SAP
Adeptness in consumer credit
Background working with Microsoft Excel
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
