| Job Description : | We are looking to hire a Controller to provide timely and accurate financial records/reporting while ensuring that processes are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies and controls. In this role, the Controller will have oversight of five accounting roles, with direct supervision of two positions. The Controller manages accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and manufacturing accounting with accounting team. Responsibilities: Supervises the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Japanese GAAP. Reporting of operational data to key members of leadership team. Responsible for timely, accurate, and efficient accounting close monthly. Establishes and implements short and long-range accounting department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures with management. Interpret accounting guidance and help develop implementation plan. Compile quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting. Directly work with and develop professional development plans for the accounting team. Partner with key personnel to manage the relationship with external auditors to ensure successful completion of quarterly reviews and annual standalone audit reporting. Maintain complete and detailed documentation for financial transactions and journal entries. Position Requirements: Accounting BS/BA required. MBA preferred. Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or actively in the pursuit of certification Manufacturing accounting experience preferred 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role Supervisory/Management experience required, i.e., coaching, goal setting, performance management Knowledge of Oracle is a plus.
