What does a Financial Services Representative (FSR) do at CNB?
An FSR is responsible for working as an active member of the Branch Office sales and service team. They take a lead role in developing customer relationships in order to take advantage of additional selling and cross-selling opportunities for new and existing bank clients. In order to meet their goals, the FSR regularly communicates with management and other branch staff with respect to sales objectives, sales performance, and other factors affecting the sales/service effort. Part of their duties also includes preparing various forms and reports and providing information related to on-going sales and service tasks.
What competencies are needed to be successful in this role?
A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field.
A minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
Notary certification or willingness to obtain as requested.
Proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills.
Working knowledge of bank products, services, operating policies and procedure.
Strong mathematics, reading, writing and grammar skills.
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office.
What does a successful first year in this position look like?
Attend and complete both levels of FSR Training.
Become an expert with bank products and services, including associated policies and procedures.
Reach or exceed 100% for all quarterly referral goals.
Maintain ongoing business relationships with present customers in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
Attain proficiency in banking systems in order to provide direct service to customers of the bank with respect to deposit, loan, trust, and other miscellaneous products and services.
