L3Harris Communications Systems West is looking for a Specialist Accountant within the Controller group. This person will be responsible for supporting the accounts receivable process and will report directly to the Finance Senior Manager position who reports to the Controller. We work a 9/80 schedule. Must be able to work a core hours schedule of 8am – 3pm MST.
Essential Functions:
Prepares invoices for various government agencies
Assists in the collection of invoices for various government agencies
Prepares reports and monitor collection delinquencies and past due status
Research and respond to customer questions
Reconciles customer accounts
Prepares monthly forecast collections
Review detailed government contracts and billing instructions
Perform special projects as required
A self-starter and take personal responsibility for identifying and solving problems
Experience with and be proficient at communicating with other departments, written and verbally
Other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, and 4 years prior relevant experience
3 years’ experience with Excel – formulas, sums, settings, vLookup, pivot tables
3 years’ experience with MS Office Suite – Word and Outlook specifically
Preferred Qualifications:
MAcc or MBA
Knowledge of and experience in SAP
Incumbent should possess excellent oral and written communications skills
Knowledge of FAR |
