In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. As a Product Manager on the Strategic Initiatives team, you will assist in creating the vision for the future of investment management at Edward Jones. You will do this by identifying the features, services, and configurations that will be necessary to shape and transform our clients’ experiences and outcomes and the ways advisors will engage with technologies to produce these results. To do this effectively, you will study the industry and competitive landscapes, understanding trends, new technologies, pricing models and business models and codify these into digestible position statements and eventual recommendations—fit for purpose based on Edward Jones’s unique value proposition. You’ll also have an opportunity to build and maintain a diverse network of business partners, and partner with them on challenges, opportunities and solutions. Similarly, you’ll participate on cross-functional teams of colleagues from program management, portfolio management, operations, marketing, and development.
Day-to-day responsibilities of a Strategic Initiatives Product Manager include, but are not limited to:
Working with senior associates and leaders across the firm on integrating the Investment Advisory strategy.
Develop and codify perspectives, based on research into industry trends, new products, client/advisory needs and vendor solutions, that will help improve the advisory offering.
Provide compelling analysis to support and shape the firm’s investment advisory strategy.
Managing the execution and analysis of certain account configurations.
Lead enhancement efforts that improve the client experience.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Progress toward advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) preferred (e.g. MBA, CFA, CIMA, CFP, CPA, etc.)
5-7 years financial services, product management, or strategic planning/consulting experience preferred.
Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire
