Unexpected Lessons From Down Syndrome

A little over a year ago, we started raising Baby D. In this week’s podcast episode, Jesse and I reflect on what we’ve learned and how we’ve grown over the past year — especially when it comes to raising a child. with Down syndrome and special needs.

We share things we wish we’d known, how our perspective has changed, and how we’ve seen God’s faithfulness time and time again. We talk about the gift this sweet boy has been in our lives and how he taught us to slow down, enjoy life and celebrate the little things. If you know someone who has a child with special needs, we hope this episode will give you some insight into how to love and walk with them better.

Plus, Jesse and I talk about how he recently rescued me from a thunderstorm, a simple exercise that makes such a difference in my days, some extraordinary things our kids have done in school, and a book I’ve been listening to.
