The Finance Systems – Digital Products organization at Edward Jones is focused on enhancing business functions while interfacing with technology partners to create an unparalleled experience. Leveraging these critical insights, we implement technology solutions and develop our products in ways that enable our firm capabilities. The Financial Planning and Analysis product team is responsible for designing and delivering a world-class digital FP&A technology capability to our financial planning and reporting teams, focused primarily on delivering robust FP&A capabilities.

The Product Owner serves as the individual accountable for one or more systems, leading a multi-disciplinary and cross-divisional product team to deliver value to internal and external customers of the Firm.
Primary responsibility will be leading the procurement, development, validation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of a brand new FP&A technology solution.
This individual aligns strategy to execution through the development and maintenance of their product roadmap, outlining the body of work expected now, next, and into the future.
This work includes management of system plans and supporting artifacts encompassing resource needs, stakeholder solution requirements, dependencies, timelines, milestones, and success criteria as necessary to deliver on the promised business value.
Success in this role requires depth and breadth of subject matter experts inside and outside the Financial Planning and Analysis product area, as well as a foundational understanding of Product Management and Agile, and the ability to expand these capabilities within the organization.
The Digital Product Owner will work with other firm leaders to attract, develop and drive a team of high-performing associates, and will play a pivotal role in their ongoing personal and professional development.
This person will lead their matrixed product team through influence as well as task assignment authority, mentoring, and coaching all team members to fulfill the product vision.
This individual will additionally advise and align with adjacent product teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive progression of the product strategy.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or related field.
FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 66 (or must obtain within first six months of employment), [or alternative…such as CFA, CFA Foundations, CFP, etc.].
Minimum 7+ years of experience within finance technology and systems
Strong knowledge of financial services concepts, practices, and procedures, with emphasis on the Product.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail orientation with strong analytical capabilities.
Ability to overcome ambiguity and deliver results.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and direct work in a way that maximizes both personal and team efficiency.
Teamwork / collaboration mindset with the ability to work with stakeholders throughout the organization and drive toward a decision.
A robust understanding of full-cycle software development within an Agile framework.
Product orientation with a strong sense of ownership.

The decisions in this position are moderate in impact. Highly complex decisions are typically escalated to leadership or Senior Product Owner.
